Pros: Small, LCD color screen, feature rich, powerful, secure, and easy to find if misplaced. Cons: Requires some adeptness or cellphone experience to truly appreciate it.
Need a bargain on a great 5.8 GHz. phone? Panasonic has it with their new KX-TG5776 "Expandable Phone". Feature rich, this model offers features that work well in a small package most homeowners will appreciate. Aside from the built-in features, ...

Pros: Talking Caller ID, individual pictures and ring tones, clear sound Cons: higher price
I had an older Panasonic cordless phone that I was having problems with. It would sometimes cut out, as cell phones do, when in the middle of a conversation, only to correct itself in a few seconds. I purchased this newer, more expensive phone with an ...

Very good home phone system
by scolmer ,Dec 24 '06
Pros: Usable software, very nice display, clear sound, great range. Cons: wall mount and belt clip must be purchased separately from Panasonic website
I highly recommend this cordless phone system. The sound quality is excellent. The features are usable. Talking callerID is nice. The ability to hook up to your PC with optional SKYPE adapter is very useful. I purchased this adapter and it works fine (but note that the PC must be on and logged on for it to work). I recommend purchasing additional handsets as well. It is very easy to transfer calls between handsets, intercom, etc. You can also upload a phone book from a .csv file (from any PC program) to individual handsets using included USB interface.
Other useful features include the speakerphone on the handset, ability to assign pictures to certain callers, etc.

Had to Return
by andersonpak ,May 14 '07
Pros: The gimmicky technology - color pictures on the phone Cons: sound quality - constant clipping of voice
The sound quality was TERRIBLE! After one month, I had to return the base and the two additional handsets I purchased due to poor sound quality. Callers continuously told me that my voice was clipped - sometime even entire words. The 5.8 system that this one replaced didn't have the same problem - so outside interference couldn't be the issue. I ended going back to my old AT&T - no more clipping!

Nothing but trouble
by sabrie42 ,Jul 24 '07
Pros: None. Cons: Half the time it's dead.
I bought this phone a few months ago and have had nothing but trouble since the get-go. If I lived closer to the store, I would return it--still might. It inexplicably will stop working between one call and the next, but seems to "reset" itself when the next call comes in. Half the time there is no dial tone at all either on the handset or the speaker. Big waste of money!

Do Not Buy This Unit
by cathyconsumer ,May 15 '07
Pros: Cute, but.... Cons: Breaks down when practically new. Lousy, lackluster Customer Service
Loved this phone when I first received it. However, within 3 months, the power adapter started "shorting out." At first, I thought it had simply been dislodged from the power strip. However, now, after 3 months of having this trouble intermittently, have realized it is the machine. A call to Panasonic Customer Service provided me with no information and no encouragement that the problem would ever be corrected.
Avoid Panasonic.
